Revisit the 60's and the cold war as once again a Snake (Naked Snake in this case) seeks to stop the original Metal Gear from becoming operational. Friends become enemies, enemies become friends, and no one can be trusted - especially not the mysterious EVA, who says she was sent to help Snake infiltrate a Russian research facility. But whos side is she really on?

And what of The Boss, Snake's mentor and friend. Where do her loyalties really lie? Snake's very survival may depend on the answer.

People who are willing to sneak around and experience what the game has to offer. You can run around killing guards but the game will become much harder.

The ending. The explosions, fleeing for your life down dirt roads, the fight against the Metal Gear, the slow crawl through the woods while guards hunt you down, and the emotional final confrontation all make for one of the best ending seen in a long time - anywhere.

The lack of camera control. Although this is not a problem in most cases, there are times when you really wish you could change the direction the screen is facing.

Start playing all over again...and I did. Mostly because I discovered that you can get secert camouflage from each of the Cobra members if you knock them out instead of killing them.

Invigorated. The quick pace and many plot twists make you want to keep going and find out what was going to happen next.

is Hideo Kojima - who wrote and produced all the other Metal Gear games - including the disappointing MGS2. He said he would never make another MGS game, but after the outcry from the last one, he decided to do one more and make the fans happy. Let me tell you, he out did himself this time.

The story is one of the best I've seen in a long time. Few movies or books can clam to pack this much action and adventure into the narative. It's like you are in an action movie, controlling the main character, and trying to survive everything that's thrown at you.

Game play consists of putting on face paint and camouflage to hide from the enemy, eating the local plants and animals to survive(hence the name "Snake Eater"), using medical supplies to treat wounds, and using a variety of 60's gadgets and weaponry to get pass or eliminate guards and other hazards.

Although it is possible to get through the game in under 5 hours, first time players will take 20-30 hours, depending on their skill.
