Summary of this Book...
"The Tradition" says Elena Klovis was supposed to marry a prince. Unfortunately, the prince of her kingdom was only eleven! But instead of enduring a life of being "Ella Cinders," Elena is made a bargain by Madame Bella, the kingdom's resident fairy godmother: to become a godmother herself. After completing her Apprenticeship and gaining her own kingdoms to rule, Elena finds out that the Tradition still thinks she ought to marry a prince, even if he's the one she turned into a donkey! Will Elena and her prince, Alexander, bow down to the Tradition, or will they carve a new path for the Tradition to follow?
I especially liked...
-The concept of a 'Fairy Godmother'
-The witty and humorous interludes between the more dire situations
I didn't like...
I was a little uncomfortable with some of the more adult-oriented scenes in the book. They probably weren't necessary, but I won't out-and-out object to them.

Sometimes the phrasing was a bit redundant.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Find another Mercedes Lackey book to read; I really enjoy her writing.
I recommend this Book because...
Lackey is a great author, although you have to enjoy fantasy novels that add a bit of romance to really enjoy her writing.
I don't recommend this Book because...
It isn't that I don't recommend this book, because I do. I just feel that with certain subject matter, language, and a somewhat bloody battle, it would be more appropriate for mature readers.
Further Comments...
The cover of the book is absolutely gorgeous, too; that's why I gave the illustrations a 5-Star rating! *Smile*
