Summary of this Book...
This book speaks primarily to the writer who wishes to be a professional freelancer or who is currently working freelance and is interested in increasing their income and getting the most from their time. It offers a perspective on the business side of freelancing as a writer and how to improve your prospects in getting work and making the most of what you do. There are chapters on getting started in the industry speaking frankly on what you can expect in your first year. It also talks about writing for various industries and different means of publication.
The author of this Book...
Sounds very biased to Ghostwriting, as that seems to be his primary industry, however he appears to have a very good grasp of how to make freelance writing profitable. He treats the profession as a business prospect, which is exactly what a writer must do if they hope to succeed.
I recommend this Book because...
It offers writers honest opinion of the freelance writing business directly from the mouth of a man who is doing it and doing it well. It contains a wealth of information that all writers should read particularly in relation to publication, agents, rights and the finance in the early days.
