Summary of this CDs & Vinyl...
The South African artist who has been in two of the world's best-known bands has gone solo. With a strong Beatles influence, combined with power pop of the 70s and 80s, Faure's music is completely original. All of the songs, save one, were written by Faure and produced without too much of the extra electronic additions that serve to swallow a lot of pop music's value AS music. Not sparse by any means, the actual music stands out as quality work emphasizing poetic lyrics on top of an amazing voice.

I especially liked... | ||
With Faure's music, you can simply sit back and enjoy the overall sound and upbeat feel, or listen closer to find the way he plays with words as a poet does. I love the double meanings that are so subtle they make you grin when you realize what he's doing. I also like that it is mature enough for adults but still safe and fun for children of any age. Again, it's a subtlety rarely found in pop music lyrics that allows this.
