A well organized tour of Hollywood area homes and filming locations. This is a MUCH better alternative to star maps, which are usually not accurate.
This type of Book is good for...
Out-of-towners who would love to tour the Hollywood area...or for that matter locals who want to explore, too.
I especially liked...
that it's well organized by area, gives background info on some Hollywood scandals, history, etc.
I didn't like...
That I already knew many of the sites. Also, the focus is on older Hollywood, so may not interest those looking for many of the stars of today.

Take my daughter out for a "Hollywood" tour and lunch on Sunset Blvd. at Carney's.

That this book would be great for visitors to Los Angeles to get a nice glimpse of the area in a fun way.

William A. Gordon really did his research and is always updating the book versions.
I recommend this Book because...
If you're interested in Hollywood trivia and nostalgia. But it does include more recent info, as well.

Though I really don't care much for the Hollywood of the last twenty years, as a kid I was very into old hollywood (1920's-1960s)....and so this is a fun glimpse of Hollywood from that era.
