The plot didn't have some foolish mystery in the background to fill up space- just strong character development.

Yes, there is more passion in this book- however, I can't help but feel that the "steamy scenes" are mostly there to fill up the book.

Put it away- I wont be reading it again.

I have enjoyed her other Historicals- they tend to be a little more on the shady side of "Society" during the 1830's. The main characters are never just really beautiful, rich and good.

Despite a slow start- the first few chapters were uninteresting- I enjoyed the play of character's foibles.
