Summary of this CDs & Vinyl...
The soundtrack to the movie, "Serendipity" , is as warm and comforting as the movie itself. Like the movie, it is contemporary-based. From Annie Lenox's strangely romantic "Waiting in Vain" to Chantel Kreviasuk's upbeat "This Year" the CD sounds like a journey through love.
This type of CDs & Vinyl is good for...
Easy listening. It would be ideal background music during a romantic dinner, or during an evening of relaxation. I don't recommend it for your next big bash.
I especially liked... | ||
I love the whole CD except for one song. Despite that, I play it so often, I know all the songs by heart.
I didn't like... | ||
I'm not fond of "(There's) Always Something There To Remind Me" by Brian Whitman. It's just one more overused rendition of a tired song. It is definitive eighties and not even the best of that time, but more a remembrance of when the decade was getting overdone and tired. I enjoy Louis Armstrong's "Cool Yule," but it's the one seasonal song on the CD, and so I'm prone to skipping over it during other seasons. I also find it a little disconcerting when the songs are out of order on a soundtrack. Perhaps starting off the CD with "Cool Yule" wouldn't have been appealing to some people, but it would have been nice to have them in order (for easier reliving of the movie though I don't really need a soundtrack for that.).
When I finished n/a this CDs & Vinyl I wanted to...
Play it again--and so I did. My annoyances with the CD are so minor that I can easily overlook them for the overall pleasure of the music.
