Summary of this Book...
Jesus Was Way Cool is a book of prose/poetry by John S. Hall of King Missile. Some of the pieces are funny, some are downright disturbing, some make you think, and some I just don't get. I found this book at a used bookstore and couldn't put it down. It's morbidly fascinating.
This type of Book is good for...
people that like to read rants, stream of consciousness and enjoy a quirky, off the wall sort of writing style.
I especially liked... | ||
the piece entitled To Walk Among The Pigs. In this poem, John S. Hall takes an animal of questionable grace and beauty, and makes it seem more human than us people.
I didn't like... | ||
the piece entitled How To Remember Your Dreams. I didn't get it, and I can't find anyone else who does.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
find some of his CDs, so that I could hear these pieces performed.
The author of this Book...
is a talented ranter, and a strange person. I wonder where he comes up with some of this stuff.
I recommend this Book because...
it's interesting. Thought provoking. Funny. Gross. Morbid. Unintelligable at times. Overall, entertaining.
Further Comments... | ||
You have to be in the mood to read this book in order to enjoy it. But once you're there, it's worth it.
