Summary of this Book...
The nameless narrator, "I" recounts her life as the second wife of a mysterious old aristocrat after his first wife, Rebecca, died a year ago. Her husband takes her back to Manderley, his ancestral mansion, wherein everything seems to still keep traces of Rebecca, as if she had neevr even died at all.
This type of Book is good for...
This is a romance, and is probably only useful for some pleasure reading.
I especially liked...
The characters in the story. All of them are unique and complex characters that tehy keep the story fast paced and alive. This is not your ordinary hero and heroine and villians. They are all very human characters which makes them delightful to read.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Read it over and over and over again
I recommend this Book because...
It's a wonderful read, a good mystery and love story. It will not make you think if you don't want to, but certain pasts in the story were probably left unanswered, giving the reader something to ponder about long after the story is done.
I don't recommend this Book because...
If you're looking for that graphic love scenes and dramatic expressions of love, there are hardly any of those in this story. The Hero after all is around 43, while his young second wife is just 21, so there really isn't much of love scenes (which I prefer, actually). There aren't very dramnatic moments or sweeping dialogues. In fact, the love story is as casual and unromantic, and probably as real as it could posibly get.
