Summary of this DVD... | ||
Bowling For Columbine is a Michael Moore documentary about the American love affair with the gun. It succeeds in showing a well-rounded view of the use of fire power in the USA. This DVD is not for the timid or the easily offended. It is also NOT for anyone under the age of 18. They will not sell it to you if you are under 18.
This type of DVD is good for...
The mature person who is interested in learning about gun control in America.
I especially liked... | ||
Michael Moore did an excellent job in portraying all sides. He didn't lean to those who are against nor did he glamorize gun usage. He gave it to us without sugar.
I didn't like... | ||
It was graphic. Very graphic. It was disturbing.
When I finished viewing this DVD I wanted to...
Cry for us here in America.
This DVD made me feel...
Outraged. Sad. Thoughtful and Afraid.
The cast of this DVD... | ||
Michael Moore interviewed Charlton Heston and Marylin Manson. He tried to interview Dick Clark, but never really got the chance. My opinion of those he interviewed varies.
I recommend this DVD because...
The shock value of it wears off and it can be educational.
I don't recommend this DVD because...
I don't recommend this for impressionable teens.
Further Comments... | ||
If by chance a young teen gets a hold of this film, I hope they view it responsibly. I hope they understand the reason behind the content of this film. It is a necessary piece of work for our times.
