Summary of this Book...
Mary Camden's continuing struggle to overcome her past and regain the respect of her family. Based on the WB series 7th Heaven, this all-new original novel follows Mary's adventures as she becomes a lifeguard for an exclusive beach resort. Things start heating up when her siblings unexpectedly arrive and a fellow lifeguard turns up missing on Mary's watch.
I especially liked... | ||
The author's portrayal of Mary as a strong, self-assured woman.
I recommend this Book because...
It gives another insight into Mary and, once again, highlights the foolishness of her family's continued mistrust.
Further Comments... | ||
I watched my first episode of 7th Heaven two years ago. I was channel surfing and Jessica Biel caught my attention. Had it not been for Biel I would have continued surfing. I'm not a religious person, I hate being preached to and, for the most part, I have little interest in traditional Christian programming. I never expected 7th Heaven to be my cup of tea, but after watching a few episodes I was hooked. I must admit the biggest draw was Biel's character Mary. I jumped into the series during a major turning point in her life. I soon began to care for the character, which I must attribute to Biel's performance and Brenda Hampton's writing, and began to look forward to my daily dose of the Camdens. Since that time I have read several 7th Heaven novels. Of them all I liked Mary's Rescue the best. If you are a fan of the show or simply someone who enjoys a good young adult novel I highly recommend this book. You shouldn't be disapponted.
