Summary of this Book...
Ok, so here's the deal. Mrs. Davidson has created this character, Goldy Shultz, and she is a caterer, though, in this edition, she's struggling for work. So, she does what any self respecting woman does when someone dies at her friend's house, she goes to solve the case! This is, of course, along side her latest job. After all, anyone who's seen Scooby-Doo knows that mysteries and food go hand in hand. Of course.. she also has to deal with her husband, friends, son, and, as the lifetime channel has taught us, the ever present bastard ex-husband, who is in jail. Throughout the book there are recipies which, actually, don't seem so bad, but can be abit annoying when you're trying to identify character motives and so forth. Apparently there's a big series of these books, but , in my opinion, they all look the same.
I especially liked... | ||
Closing the book... I really didn't enjoy it that much, it's more for women in their mid-forties who need something to do in their free time and feel like reading. Probably be good for a light reading club.
I didn't like... | ||
The majority of the book, but my least favorite thing were the recipes, which had been placed throughout the text. Though innovative, they were abit distracting.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Throw it at someone... I had only bought it so I wouldn't have to listen to the other people I was staying with.
This Book made me feel...
Short changed, the ending was abit weak, in my opinion.
The author of this Book...
Seems to be writing best-sellers... and seems abit drawn to cooking.
I recommend this Book because...
It's good if you have to kill some time and don't want to get into a really deep mystery.
I don't recommend this Book because...
I like abit more twist in my story lines and darker characters, everything here was pretty cut and dry.
Further Comments... | ||
... Pretty cover. | ||
