Summary of this Video Game...
Not a book, vid game. I'll review a book soon. Ok, this game is set 1000 years after it's previous part called Ocarina of Time. The land of Hyrule is gone, destroyed by the resurfacing of a great evil(no way I'm spoiling a lot of this game) and the Hero of Time never appeared like last time, so all hope was lost. Or so it seems. On an island, the land of Hyrule, in fact the entire world, has been covered by water and only small land masses remain. A young boy witnesses his sister being kidnapped by a giant bird on his birthday, so while following the island tradition of dressing in green to symbolise the legends about the Hero of Time, young Link chases after the bird with the help of some pirates. But upon finding his sister, he's captured by the giant bird and brought before a man dressed in dark coloured clothing. A single wave of the hand and Link is sent flying away by the bird throwing him, only to be saved by a passing boat. So begins the new adventure of Link, but not quite as expected.
I especially liked... | ||
The jokes were great, the grapics are great, the sound isn't too bad and the controls are excellent. The graphics look like a cartoon, the smoke effects are done in a cartoon sense as well. They're bright, colourful and cheerful and other than if you're looking at the sun in the game, you won't hurt your eyes much, but maybe have the brightness turned down a little. The jokes are good, the snide comments and remarks on Link are a good laugh and the kind of things that happen to him, like being shot from a catapult into a wall, are light hearted and funny. The facial expressions are great, Link's eyes move when he sees something of interest and he smiles, laughs, frowns or just gasps. There's quite a lot done really for the sounds in the game, like a talking fish. So all in all, there's a lot to like.
I didn't like... | ||
Finishing it, it took me over a week to finish this game and that's with limited hours. Maybe it's just because I played it like I played it's last part on the N64, never saw the game over screen once, unlike in Ocarina of Time where I saw it a few times. Maybe I'm just capable of beating these games too easily, but it was a little too easy.
When I finished playing this Video Game I wanted to...
Play it again or play Ocarina of Time, which I will do, just need to rest from gaming for a bit.
This Video Game made me feel...
Sore and stiff from sitting too long playing, really should find other things to do than complete all my games too quickly.
The creator of this Video Game...
Nintendo have been around for a very long time, they did card games and other things before developing vid games and consoles. I'm sure a lot of you have heard of Nintendo, maybe even played some of their games.
I recommend this Video Game because...
If you love the Zelda games, then this is for you. It's funny, big, well thought out, cute, cheerful, worth playing and one of the best Nintendo games, even though I would have liked more of a challenge.
I don't recommend this Video Game because...
It's a little easy and also there are people who aren't fond on this kind of game or don't even like Nintendo. Maybe try before you buy.
Further Comments... | ||
I wasn't sure on this game at first, after Majora's Mask almost two years ago, then I've been a little disappointed in the lack of challenge in games and I am disappointed with this game in that area. Yet it's a fun game that really is worth playing and finishing it does make you want to play again, so I guess that's a plus point. It comes with Ocarina of Time and the unleased version of that game, Master Quest, free with the game, at least my copy does, but I guess my UK copy is different from US copies. Three games for one though, that's not bad at all. I would say try before you buy, it's not to everyone's tastes.
