Summary of this Book...
Can you imagine a perfect world? Where there are no choices, no fighting, no problems at all? People's jobs are assigned to them by what the people like and are good at, they don't have to take college or worry about applying for a job. Jonas is assigned the most important job of all, the Reciever of Memory. But during his training, he learns that his perfect community may not be so perfect after all...
I especially liked...
One of the bes things about this story is the connection between yourself and the characters. When reading this book, I could actually feel the pain, the anger, the sorrow, all of Jonas's emotions. Saying 'I laughed, I cried...' would be a truthful statement.
I didn't like...
I didn't care much for the ending. I fyou can even say there WAS an ending. The story is just left in a position with not enough detail to draw a conclusion about the book. Was it a happy ending? Did Jonas and Gabriel make it to there destination, or did they die on the place so familiar to them both? I wish it would give more detail, allowin readers to draw a better conclusion.
This Book made me feel...
While reading this book, I felt everything. As mentioned before, the connection between the reader and the main character Jonas is so tight, you can actually feel Jonas's emotions. I could feel the pain when he broke his leg. I could feel the frustration when his friends couldn't understand war. I could feel the anger when he found out what it meant to be released. I could feel the shock and the horror when Gabriel's fate was decided.
I recommend this Book because...
This book is definetly for anyone who likes stories of love and emotion, and drama. This story is a must have for any book lover, and I don't think there is a single person out there who wouldn't like it.
