Summary of this Book...
It starts off in the year 2151, season 1 of the new and excellent Enterprise, and T'Pol finds something that her people know about, some kind of artifacts from a long dead culture, so after reporting everything to Archer and Archer filing it away for future generations, the scene then jumps to 2266 or is it 2265? Anyway it's in the Kirk era, during the Original series. Kirk and crew come across one of the artifacts when a Federation planet is struck down with a plague of some kind.

After the mystery is solved the scene then jumps to 2370, just before the first meeting with the Jem'Harder who Trek fans might remember gave the Federation and Starfleet a major beating in the War. This time someone seems to be killing with a very powerful energy weapon that turns out to be yet another one of the artifacts. So once that's solved, the scene jumps again. I'll explain the next parts in the next review of part 2.
I especially liked...
Well to be perfectly honest I didn't think much to this story, it seemed a little dull to me. I guess I'm just hoping for more excellent DS9 season 8, the new DS9 book series. But I was happy with the DS9 part of it and the Enterprise prologue was well done.
I didn't like...
The feel of the story is a little odd, it's like it was tacked on in parts. Also parts of it seemed cut up, as if the author wasn't sure what to do with a particular scene.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Find some DS9 and read that to death instead.
This Book made me feel...
Bored, I have read better.
The author of this Book...
Has written a few good stories before, I liked his parts in the SCE stories, they were great. This though, this was somewhat weak, shame.
I recommend this Book because...
Well I guess if the idea of a mutil generation story interests you then you might enjoy this, but I have read a lot better.
I don't recommend this Book because...
Well...It's boring, very, very boring. I've read a lot of stories like these and I have to say that I've been disappointed with each one I've read. I hope the next one is better than this.
Further Comments...
I never heard of this till I bought it, I was looking for new parts of the DS9 season 8 series that's only out in book form. I did hope that this would be good, but I guess I was hoping for too much. Shame really, this could have been great.
