Summary of this Book...
A middle aged couple who, faced with their first Christmas alone, decide to try and miss the whole holiday by going on a cruise. They faced their overly zealous, decorating committee neighbors, the tree selling boy scouts, the calendar selling police and the fruitcake salesmen firefighters, let alone all the people they usually invite to their annual Christmas Eve party. Their daughter, who departed for her Peace Corp assignment in Peru, only a month before, called from the airport announcing that she was in the US and brought her fiance in tow.
I especially liked... | ||
the humorous situations throughout the book. Putting Frosty on the roof was probably the best part of the whole story.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
I wanted to decorate my tree or go on a cruise to the Carribbean.
The author of this Book...
This is only the second John Grisham book I've read and I enjoyed them both.
I recommend this Book because...
it is also a very touching story about being a friend.
