Summary of this Book...
We have all seen the movie, right? If not, I recommend reading this book before watching it, even though it is a great movie. This book is about a lot of things. You heroine of the story is an FBI agent in training named Clarice Starling, who gets the help of the famed sociopath Hannibal Lecter in attempting to catch a serial killer who flays women to make a human suit for himself, so he can become a woman. The book, like its predecessor, "Invalid Item" , goes into the details of forensic science and its applicability in catching criminals. The book also goes into the psyche of the killer and the genius Lecter.
I especially liked... | ||
Clarice Starling is a very believable character, I liked her in this novel.
I didn't like... | ||
How it was not quite as good as submerging the reader with the mind of the killer as in "Invalid Item" . In my opinion, "Invalid Item" was a superior book. Do not get me wrong, this book is fantastic. I liked it a lot.
The author of this Book...
Thomas Harris, author of four books: all of four books, three Lecter Novels, and one terrorism novel.
I recommend this Book because...
It's better than watching the movie, even though the movie is still good.
Further Comments... | ||
This book gets a usefulness rating because some of the forensics in it seem like they can somehow be helpful.
