Summary of this Book...
the small town of Juniper, AZ gets a taste of big-city life when The Store comes to town. It's a retail chain, and it promises to put all of the local vendors out of business, by any means possible. Bill Davis somehow finds a way to defeat The Store, despite everything it puts him through.
I especially liked... | ||
how it made me think about retail chains, such as K-mart or Wal-mart. Maybe I should buy locally, when I can.
I didn't like... | ||
that some parts were quite predictable.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
write this review! :) | ||
This Book made me feel...
paranoid, disgusted, amazed, astonished, scared...
The author of this Book...
did a great job. I think this is the best Bentley Little novel that I have read so far.
I recommend this Book because...
it's a fast read, and has great horror.
Further Comments... | ||
This book has been compared to The Association, also by Little. While it still carries the same underlying theme of an all-powerful force trying to control every aspect of the main character's life, it is different in it's own right. More sex, more violence, and harsher language make this book unique.
