Summary of this Book...
Elizabeth and Jane Bennet: two sisters who must overcome Society's traditions and contempible rules to find love and happiness.
I especially liked... | ||
Mr. Bennet, he was the funniest person in the book!
I didn't like... | ||
Mr. Collins. Read it and you'll understand.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
See a movie version. | ||
This Book made me feel...
Warm and fuzzy | ||
The author of this Book...
is Jane Austen. What else can I say about her?
I recommend this Book because...
It's a good romance story that shows how silly we can be at times looking at others with our prejudices, etc.
I don't recommend this Book because...
It's a bit harder of a read than Jane Eyre. Jane Austen likes words. Lots of them.
Further Comments... | ||
"Pride and Prejudice" was recommended to me as a good romance but I confess that I didn't enjoy it until I was confortable with Austen's Regency English from reading several of her other novels. Also, a very good adaptation of this novel is the A&E production starring Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy.
