Martie Rhodes is a young wife and successful video-game designer. Then one morning she experiences a sudden and inexplicable fear, a fleeting but disquieting terror of…her own shadow. Extremely suspenseful!

I liked the use of words, as usual. The story made you want to keep reading, and it fell together really well. The characters are exceptional, as well.


I also enjoyed the short chapters.

Hmmm...The last few chapters were really descriptive, and used a lot of large words. The story slowed down a bit, but it was still interesting—just a bit slow, and it’s only a few chapters that are like this.

I wanted to write. As usual, Koontz has inspired ideas. Also, I wanted to read more of his work, which I will do after taking a quick break to read two other books in my extensive lineup.

Excited, interested…It also inspired my writing of haikus.

It's awsome, interesting, and makes you wonder what will happen next.
