Summary of this Book...
A lonely man whose only companion is his gold. He learns that there is more to life than money when he adopts a baby girl left on his doorstep.
I especially liked... | ||
The round characters. Silas Marner completely changes when he has to care for another human, and learns that money isn't everything
I didn't like... | ||
That Silas Marner, the main character, was not present in the book that often. Almost half of the book centered around other townspeople who did not have very important roles. Also, there is a lot of old-time language in it. It takes a while to read and understand.
This Book made me feel...
Happy to see that people can change. Luckily we can change our old ways and learn what's really important.
I recommend this Book because...
It's a clasic that still has meaning today. Maybe the setting and characters are old-fashioned, but the meaning still applies today.
I don't recommend this Book because...
There is a lot of old-time language in it. It takes a while to read and understand.
Further Comments... | ||
This is a really good book that I think you will enjoy!
