Summary of this Book...
It's about a lot! Basically, it's about Junior Cain, a psychotic guy who you can follow through a lot of the story. It has a lot of really well put forth characters, all who you develop a relationship with that changes throughout the story. It's exciting nature is stunning...I love it.
I especially liked... | ||
The characters, the events, Junior...He was great. It was also a bit funny in places, which I personally think is a good quality in a novel. Also, it is extremely EXTREEMLY well written.
I didn't like... | ||
Hmmm...Well Edom and Jacob are a bit TOOOO obsessed with death. Almost unrealistically. But, it was only one chapter where that bothered me, and the other times I found it rather entertaining...
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Read more of Dean Koontz. This was the first one by this brilliant man I read, and I've already started another one. (Almost half way done) I also wanted to write to Mr. Koontz and congratulate him on a superb job, which I did.
This Book made me feel...
Excited, sad, amused...
The author of this Book...
Wrote several others. I can't imagine not reading one from now on...
I recommend this Book because...
It's just the best book out there that I know of. It's a masterpiece! I think I was bored with it once. That's it.
I don't recommend this Book because...
Well it's a bit disturbing sometimes.
Further Comments... | ||
Also, I found this book really improved my vocabulary. Not just because Junior had a vocabulary-enhancing book that he had read before the story started and introduces some words. In fact, I don't remember any of those. I just found my writing has improved since reading it. Just pick it up, buy it, and read it! (If anyone else has read this, please e-let me know what you think of the book.)
