This is the very first of the Sailor Moon graphic novel series. For those who don't already know, Bunny is a school girl who discovers that she has magical powers. When Luna (a cat from the 30th century) gives her a special broach, Bunny becomes Sailor Moon, the klutzy, irresponsible, but totally lovable super hero! This manga introduces you to most of the main characters, including Ami (Sailor Mercury), Rei (Sailor Mars), Lita (Jupiter), and Darien (Tuxedo Mask). The scouts must come together to fight Queen Beryl and her minions.

Darien and Bunny's budding relationship already begins in the very first book. Although they get off to a rocky start, Sailor Moon immediatly falls in love with the mysterious Tuxedo Mask. He returns the favor when he sneaks a kiss while Sailor Moon is drunk off of a martini.

This graphic novel has great characters, an excellent plot, a twist of humor, and wonderful drawings. It is the perfect combination of fantasy, adventure, romance, and humor. This manga is not to be missed!

-the ending. Because this is part of a series, the book comes to an end without complete closure. Actually, it breaks off in the middle of a scene. It's got a real cliffhanger ending, so you might want to buy the first two or even three books at once.

-Definently read on to the next book. I had to find out what happened! I also wanted to reread the book. The more times you read it, the more you notice.

-Is a genious. Naoko has written over 14 Sailor Moon graphic novels, and all of them are huge achievements! Ms. Takuechi is really great, and always leaves little notes and extras in her books.

Any Sailor Moon fan has to read this manga. Reading the series is what separates the true SM fans from the wannabes. This is also great for any manga fans. It is an excellent example of the art. If you are a fantasy, SM, manga, or anime fan, I strongly suggest this. Even if you're not, one book, and you're hooked.

It is pretty expensive. $12 for this book, and $9 for every other one in the series. It is a pretty costly thing to get hooked on. Also: (This is a BIG warning) watch how you handle the books. They aren't bound very well, and the pages start to come out. Pages have come loose of most of mine. You have to treat them Very well, and even if you do, it might just be a matter of time....

Go ahead, read the book. It's worth it!
