This book is about a woman who blackmails her cousin Vinnie into letting her be a bounty hunter. Stephanie Plum used to be a lingerie buyer till she got laid off and started working as a bounty hunter. She knows nothing about this kind of life and she is forced to find out quick. This is her first book in line of many. The second is called Two For the Dough .


In her first book, Stephanie is hunting down the man she lost her virginity to when she was 16 and he never called. He became a cop and then he skipped bail and its Stephanie’s job to hunt him down. This book and the rest of the series are hilarious!!!!

I especially liked the humor in this story. I fell off my bed in the middle of the night reading this book. I have read this book now many times and it still makes me laugh.

when I finished this book I wanted to read the next one immediately. I did. When I started this series the author had just released book four in hard back and with in 2 days I was caught up and anxiously waiting for number 5.

I recommend this book because it has a plot, character development, and makes me laugh. Even though the book is humorous it still has a mystery to solve.

This book is not really suited for people under the age of 15 depending on the maturity level of the person. Men do tend to like this book, but I have found the people who love are mostly women.
