Summary of this Book...
Jon, a writer/film enthusiast, becomes part of the artsy Hollywood film culture, and soon becomes obsessed with both a peculiar woman and an elusive film director. The woman is part of his film cult, and the director, a master of noir, seems to have dropped off of the face of the earth. The protagonist then searches for the director, encountering one amazing character after another...
I especially liked... | ||
Roszak's obvious obsession of film obviously shows up in this "fictional" book. Roszak amazingly blends fictional characters right into the scene with all-too familiar Hollywood icons.

Why did this book have to end? I wanted more, more, more...

The story is an emotional roller-coaster, as we become involved with Jon, the storyteller.
The author of this Book...
Theodor Roszak has also written other great books, such as THE MEMOIRS OF ELIZABETH FRANKENSTEIN and THE MAKING OF A COUNTERCULTURE.

You will never forget it, period.
Further Comments... | ||
This book is still available, but I am not sure for how much longer. Run, don't walk in procuring it, special order it, or point and click to order it! This is an invaluable history of Hollywood and the art of filmmaking, as well as a rip-roaring thriller of a story.
