Summary of this Book...
The sequel to The Six. Giant war robots inhabited by formerly ill and dying teenagers take on a super sleek AI that is set to take over the world.

And this time, one of the original Six has decided to work with the AI.
This type of Book is good for...
No one. It was a pretty terrible sequel barely worth reading.
I especially liked...
As much as I LOVED the first book, I was totally unsatisfied with this one.

I liked some of the details... like the AI creating a robo-virus that infects people with hardware that can be controlled by the AI. Some little things like that. The execution though... ew.

They also introduced a new member to the team to replace one who died in the first book. There was lots of promise there, but it didn't come to anything.
I didn't like...
This book was packed full of super long descriptions of action scenes that were just boring as hell. It felt like I was sloooowly reading sequences that would have played out in a Michael Bay movie in about 30 seconds. You know? Like, these were huge and epic sorts of scenes that were just painful to read. And very lame all around, really.

There was barely any focus on the FUN parts of the story... like getting a new teammate. And tons of focus on monster robot worms hell bent on destroying a city. It was almost laughable. Especially since it lacked character development.

The lack of development particularly hurt with the whole "traitor working with the AI" thing. Very obvious, as the only person who 1. had access to the info shared and 2. never had doubt cast on them by the author (!) was the one. And it was entirely out of character from the first book.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Definitely not read the next in the series. This was a one-book wonder. Excellent start... horrible followup.
