This is the story of a spy hunt for a Soviet mole who has infiltrated the highest echelons of the British secret M16 service during the Cold War.

This movie was listed by www.WhatCulture.com as #16 on their list of the 25 of the Best British Films of the Last Decade. http://whatculture.com/film/25-best-british-films-last-decade?page=11 It's a film adaptation from the 1974 John le Carre novel by the same name. In 1979, BBC also made the book into a 5 hour mini-series.

The movie is rated R.

This is good for people who like slower paced but deep cerebral movies.

I especially liked the acting and the cast. They were well chosen and performed well.

The movie in general. It was a bit slow for me. On Netflix it was only rated 1.5 out of 5 stars. I'd give it 3, myself. I've definitely seen worse films, but I had to take a couple of breaks (not uncommon for me) and kept checking to see how much longer it was going to be. (The movie is approximately 2 hours and 8 minutes...not exceptionally long, but longer than I wanted it to be.)

Be done with it. I didn't particularly enjoy this movie. However, it should be noted that I prefer more action movies and not so much movies where I have to pay a lot of attention to detail. It was listed as one of the best 25 British movies of the last decade, so that shouldn't be discounted. I think it just wasn't for me.
