This is another prize-winning poetry collection. Specifically, it won the 1997 Nicholas Roerich Poetry Prize. It is also the poetess' debut.

I would say that people who are interested in free verse with a gentle female touch might enjoy this collection.

I purchased this collection on a whim. It was just sitting there on the shelf, and I thumbed through it and saw some interesting pieces with strong word choice. I bought it. I read it. It has been sitting on my shelf ever since. It is a fine collection, but it didn't really speak to me. There was the occasional bit of edginess, but overall, it was a bit more soft and pretty than the work that usually sparks my imagination. A favorite snippet:
