This is Season one of the hard hitting British Detective series starring Stephen Tomkinson and Andrea Lowe.

This picks up on something in the serial killer plot of DCI Banks aftermath that I won't give away in the review.

Murders happen and investigations ensue. There are some surprises and missteps on Annie's part. Alan is sometimes overly emotional as he investigates cases and identifies with young victims. Annie is more hardened and opportunistic, always looking for a way to further her own career.

is very good and convincing. I will not give plots away here. This is a detective show that is about emotions and the reactions of the police to the plight of the victims. I am enjoying it.
