This is a really depressing movie about a woman who is in chronic pain caused by a spinal injury in a car accident that killed her young son. She joins a support group, but she is bitter and resentful and mean and gets kicked out. She becomes obsessed with the suicide of a member of the group who seemingly had it all going for her. All through the movie she makes choices to hurt herself, but in the end she decides to live. This was very depressing to watch as I had spinal surgery so I know about that pain. Jennifer Aniston did a fine job of acting, but it was not an enjoyable movie experience. | ||

I don't like watching people wallow endlessly in their pain. I don't get anything out of that. Jennifer Aniston is a fine actress and she portrayed this with none of the cute affectations that she has shown at times, otherwise. She was very depressing to watch and I felt a little disgusted with her character, which I think was what I was supposed to feel. I don't really enjoy drug addict portrayals or bitter character portrayals that go on endlessly. It is tiring and too much like some of the people I meet in real life. I want a movie to transport me. I don't really recommend this. Aniston should have been recognized for her performance here and I'm surprised that she wasn't. Probably that evil Jolie's doing. | ||
