I rarely buy new movie DVD's anymore. I buy and am given movies of the 1930's and 1940's mostly as those are the ones I like. Rarely is there a good story or good cast anymore.

I had high hopes for this one as I am a fan of Julia Louis-Dreyfus and James Gandolfini. This was a big disappointment as a romantic comedy. I didn't think the situation was particularly funny or amusing.

It is about a middle aged divorced woman who meets a man at a party. She also meets a loopy woman poet, who ends up being a good friend. Somehow, for too long she doesn't realize that the crappy husband that her friend is whining about is Gandolfini, her new love. It is unbelievable that anyone, let alone Louis-Dreyfus, who comes across as intelligent, wouln't figure this out really quickly.

The performance by James Gandolfini is a good one, but Louis-Dreyfus seems wound up and very tense throughout her scenes. I found Keener to be just annoying in every scene she was in. She was annoyingly smug and somehow superior, which was how she was directed to be, I guess.

James Gandolfini - he is good as a loveable teddy bear of a guy.

anything else about the movie. It was a big disappointment as someone I know recommended the movie. I thought it was pretty stupid.

I feel like I wish I had my almost 2 hours and my money back. I have no interest in seeing this one again. I may take it to trade at the used book place - that's how bad it was.
