Summary of this Book...
The Righteous Mind is a non-fiction book that takes a look at opposing political views. It attempts to explain why we think the way we do and why we can't just all get along.
This type of Book is good for...
anyone interested in politics and/or psychology will be intrigued by this book!
I especially liked... | ||
how it made me think. This book presented a few ideas to me that were completely new, and the author explains the ideas quite well.
I didn't like... | ||
the book does drag a bit toward the end. At 450 pages of psychology, it's not exactly an "easy" read, though it is worth the time it takes to read it.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
be more open-minded toward those with opposing views.
This Book made me feel...
different. I had a totally different attitude toward politics and viewpoints. The book helped me to understand that differing opinions often stems from different values.
I recommend this Book because...
it really can change your viewpoint of politics and left vs. right.
I don't recommend this Book because...
Although interesting and explained well, it can be a dry and somewhat long read, though I think it's worth it!
