Summary of this Book...
This is the second in the Inspector Lynley series of books by Elizabeth George. A playwright and a theatre group decide to have a read through at an old estate in Scotland. The playwright is murdered and everyone is a suspect, including the woman that Inspector Lynley loves. To complicate matters she is there at the invitation of the victim's cousin, so she is a suspect too.
This type of Book is good for...
anyone who enjoys a great mystery with a lot of twists and turns.
I especially liked... | ||
the way the writer had me going one way and then another until finally revealing the truth and tying everything up. There are a lot of deceptions and manipulations in this little group.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
read the next in the series, which I will do very soon.
This Book made me feel...
like I was there in Scotland locked in a big estate in the snow storm with murder all around me.
The author of this Book...
knows how to create main characters that are intriguing. I want to read more mostly to find out what happens to Sgt. Havers and Inspector Lynley.
I recommend this Book because...
it is fine writing - the best of hers that I have read so far (this is my 3rd) and that is saying something. I would recommend with starting at the beginning and not at the end like I did though.
