Lyrae Duff-Holmes was born in Louisville, Ky in 1964. She received her GED from the State of Florida in 1980. Married to Jay has 3 children; Kirsten, Jacob and Ellen. Lyrae is interested in all sorts of hobbies and tends to do them to the point of burnout. She knew at an early age she wanted to be a poet and writer. However, she has kept her poems close to her breast like small children, hoping to someday let them out on their own. Hence, she has challenged herself to finish a poetry book by her next birthday and has started writing all those little stories she thought of over the years.
