Born in England, Elka divides her time between Victoria, Canada and Saigon, Vietnam. She works as a magazine editor. Elka's first novel, Hanoi Jane, was published by Marshall Cavendish in early 2011. Elka is also the author and illustrator of three kids' books: Vietnam A to Z, Vietnam 1,2,3! and The Gecko Who Grew and Grew (Phan Tri Press, 2011.) Her travel writing has appeared in a wide range of international magazines and guidebooks. Elka is currently writing a romantic mystery, Newly Wed and Nearly Dead, set on Canada's scenic Vancouver Island. She also writes literary fiction. Her agent is HSW in Toronto.
