I'm a retired criminal lawyer, and happy to have lots of time to write now. I've always had this novel in me, waiting to get on paper. :) I write what I know - crime and murder. My first novel is VERY loosely based on a murder case I'm familiar with, and many of my characters are caricatures of people I've known over the years. It's a serious story, but has its light scenes that I find fun. Hopefully the reader will, too! The book has a beginning, middle and end, but needs more -- more subplots, emotion, etc. I appreciate any help I can get! I love the kind of critique that leaves me bloodied, the more honest and even harsh, the better!
