A Morning Tale

I woke up this morning
And looked out my window;
Yes, looked out the window,
And what did I see?

But a lovely small bird,
A sweet tasty morsel,
A morsel just calling
Calling to me.

“Oh, come out and play
You sweet little cat,
Oh sweet little cat
Come play with me."

I could not say no,
Nor did I want to;
I did not want to
Say no to this gift.

So I jumped to the door
As soon as it opened,
As soon as it opened
I ran straight outside,

I jumped and I ran
To eat that small bird,
I ate that small bird,
He tasted just right.
