A recent poem to a lost loved one. Put yourself in the writers and readers position.
_AUGUST_
By: Lucas Kirby
January
The time has come to start the year
To look back on your fallen tears
To say goodbye to recent days
To hope for her to come your way
The clock winds down, the whole crowd cheers
You make your wish, with just one tear

February
It’s been one month since your last wish
To hold the one that makes life bliss
You feel her close but she’s not there
You taste her lips in the frosty air
“Where are you Love? I’ve searched so long
I want to sing to you my song”
She comes to you mid February
Your heart no longer feels so dreary
“So far away you are my dear
How is it that you feel so near?
Here are some roses to let you know
I’ll make you happy.. From here we grow”

March
It’s almost like you’ve known her long
She even lets you sing your song
You love her heart, you love her soul
“I will come to you and never go”
You say these things, you mean them all
But some times you forget to call
She spoils you with pictures galore
Her beauty sharp, she is what you adore
Afraid you are, but both you know
That all is well and we still grow

April
She waits impatiently for you to come
You disappear, she thinks you’re done
You hope she knows you love her still
You tell her “I’m climbing a steep, steep hill”
Her heart forgiving, her need still strong
“Don’t worry Love, to you I come
I want you, need you, hope you know
That I’ll be their to Love you so”

May
The distance between us makes us sad
“If you were here then it wouldn’t be so bad”
We say these things to bring us hope
We say these things so we can cope
From the hurt the distance causes us
We start to fear we’re losing trust
You go out of state for just a few days
You find you need her in so many ways
You come back home to let her know
That in your heart, there’s room to grow
You call her on the telephone,
To find out she wants to be alone
You call again, it’s still the same
She wishes she forgot your name
How can it end, it cannot end
You’ll die to lose your truest friend
So come end May, you want to try
But all you do is say “goodbye”

June
It hurts so badly but your face is straight
You dare not admit that you lost your fate
You look at the pictures she sent galore
You wish she would just send one more
Was it mutual, did we both agree?
That we can never, ever be?
“I’ll give it time, she will be their”
She needs her space, it’s only fair
I’ll write her in a month or two,
And let her know… “I Love you”

July
You try to date, but it’s not right
There is no one that gives you flight
They cannot laugh, they cannot smile,
They cannot wait for you a while
You realize you are not so dreary
When you’re with the girl from February
Is it now time to let her know
That you miss her dear, you need her so?
You hope she feels the same for you
You hope that she has missed you too
And so you tell her she’s the one
To only find her love is gone
She says it belongs to another man
“How can this be? You know I can
Give you love, give you life,
Give you what you’ve been deprived.
Make you laugh, make you cry
Tears of joy till we both die”
She says...“goodbye, you hurt me so”
“I’m sorry dear I cannot go”
Madness streaks my mind of late
To know that I have lost my fate
She say’s to leave and she will keep
The memory of what drew us deep
“But if you don’t I have no choice
To wish I never heard your voice”
I try so hard to leave you be
Impossible as it may seem
And so I tremble with great fear
To tell you that “I’m always here”
For if I tell you these words I choose
I risk the chance to greatly lose
All the joy we ever had
When we were angry, when we were sad
Our time was short, but Love cares not
So for its sake I risk a lot
I cherish you, need you, want you so
Will not give up until you know
That I’m the one who will set you free
Natalia… I Love you, Come Back To Me...
