Love is like slipping on a banana peel

First you go up
your flying in the air.
You don't know what is happening
as if you could care.

Some get scared,
others get exhilerated.
There is a rushing sound
and you feel liberated.

Then you start falling
things are wrong.
Disaster is coming
and you knew it all along.

You hit the ground
with a very loud thump,
your dazed and confused
with a brand new bump.

You stand up again
brush off your knees,
you contiue on your way
and the pain slowly receeds.

In time your wounds will heal,
but life will always hold
a little less zeal.
So in that way
love is like slipping on a banana peel.
