Failing with one diet after another, something had to CHANGE!

My food choices are poor and consistently bad,
I sure wished I didn't, when in secret I had
consumed sugary stuff that I knew I shouldn't,
caving IN to temptations . . . fight it? I couldn't.

Satan's always there to tantalize me and tease,
tempting me to eat all of what I darn well please.
I'll still be taking one more itty-bitty bite,
it's a constant battle. I always lose the fight.

My Holy Temple's not, what it's supposed to be,
and I can't place the blame on anyone but me.
The shame of glutt'ny marks and burns my very soul,
there are no clear bound'ries . . . no solid self-control.

My weight has ballooned big from eating junk-food stash,
choking in unworthiness, rejection and T R A S H.
I know that's Satan's ploy and deliberate scheme,
Steal or kill my spirit and poison my esteem.

I pray for that holiness, happiness and Him,
to make my choices healthy so I can get slim.
I never could lose weight facing it all alone,
or diet then exercise and work-out to tone.

Asking for a victory and His guiding hand,
lifting me up in His arms when I cannot stand.
Rejecting those bad foods that will never love me,
just endurance to see, . . . satanic forces flee.

A healthy frame of mind He gladly will restore,
as I give Him Praise for strength more and more and more.
He won't let me fail again, the breakthrough is mine,
breaking bonds of flesh's sin; Jesus shows my sign.

I'm joyously praising Him laud and singing loud,
and NO MORE excuses for avoiding the crowd.
I'm going to go to His church, standing on His Way,
the Potter uses me and molds my mass of clay.
