I'm a big fan of switchfoot, an alternative rock band. It was a pleasant surprise when I came to know that they are actually a christian band though their music reaches out to everyone regardless of faith.

There is this really cool number of their's called 'the beautiful letdown' and I really loved the message it brings about. It's just about how when you're down, when you've lost eveything- it's only then you're truly yourself. For me it's only then I take God seriously, realize his powers and then talk to him with the love and respect that he deserves.
And thats why a letdown is so beautiful. It's then you're stripped of everything and you become humble,meek. I guess that's when you can experience that great power out there.

just close your eyes and think and you'll feel that a letdown is so beautiful.
