THEY'VE RETURNED!

The marching band of yesterday
continues with pride to play -
as Sousa's marches fill the air,
and ghostly trumpets loudly blare!

Their spirits still live on and so,
in proud uniform from head to toe,
down the street they march serene -
not knowing that they can't be seen!

Onlookers can't believe their eyes,
the cameras click and I surmise
that when developed, they will see
a glimpse of unearthly revelry!

Back in Heaven, the marching band
can't stop laughing at the demand
for another parade, another show;
what fun they had way down below!

They've returned, but not for long,
to play once more a marching song...
Just one more time "Hail To The Chief!"
as the President faints in disbelief!
