The search for the heir begins.
[Introduction]
Aquaria has long been called a land of freedom were all men were respected, but under that cover there hides the truth. Hidden in the cold and dark of the core of the land a girl named K'ean will search for answers but only end up with more question. In time she will find the truth with the help of the friends she makes on the way.

:*: History :*:

That land of Aquaria was founded by the King Aaron Aquarian more than 1000 years ago. King Aaron set the borders and wrote the policies by which his young nation would be governed under. After its creation Aquaria grew in power until it became the largest and most powerful nation in the entire land. It was ruled by members of the Aquarian family line until 50 years ago when the King at the time was overthrown by The Dark Lord Eran. Eran changed the capital from New Haven and moved it to Dark Aquaria, because his evil had already corrupted the land and people their.
During Eran’s rule, evil spread throughout the land as he imprisoned people and took the land from all who were still loyal to the Aquarian rule. Eran ruled uncontested for twenty years upon which time there was a war led by the son of the Aquarian King whom Eran had previously defeated. The war lasted for the better part of 5 year but in the end Eran was bitterly defeated. After that the war became know as the Eran war.
The New King, Claudius, banished all of Eran’s remaining supporters to Dark Aquaria and moved the capital back to New Haven. However some of Eran’s supporters did escape banishment and once again planed taking over the throne.
Shortly after taking the throne Claudius, and soon after him his wife, died mysteriously. There deaths left the throne up for grabs, because Claudius had no heir.

:*: Present Day Aquaria :*:

Presently Aquaria is a divided land with many factions fighting for power. The former supporters of the Dark Lord Eran have since spread the evil and power hungry view out of their home of banishment into other portions of Aquaria. After the kings death they started small civil wars in the attempt to once again make Aquaria their own. Eran’s supporters, who now call themselves Erins, elected Eran’s grandson, Falden, as their ruler. The 20 year old Falden has proven himself a capable ruler and has, himself started a revolution to claim the unoccupied throne. Although a former advisor of late King Claudius is running the kingdom it won’t be long until Falden overpowers her. Aquaria’s only hope rests in the rumor that the king did have an illegitimate child before his marriage to the queen.
Now, two young freelance warriors are sent by the advisor find and bring back the heir. They must convince him to come back before the revolution progresses into a war. However, they must train him and teach him the Aquarian ways, let alone their language: on every degree.
However Falden knows of the heir’s existence and tries to get the secret truth into his grasp to rule all of Aquaria once again.

Advisor: Forest Author IconMail Icon
Name: K'ean

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Land: South Haven

Overall Appearance: K’ean has long shiny black hair that has slight curls and reaches to just about the middle of her back. She mostly keeps her hair in one. She has vibrant hazel green eyes and tan skin. She is about 5’9. She slim and has a slight figure. She is young beautiful, intelligent and inquisitive. She has a mark at the top of her right arm that she has had for as long as she can remember. It is a mark of three circles that are one in the other. In the centered there is a fire with a dagger pointing downward in the middle.

Personality: Like any bright-eyed 17 year old girl K'ean has a very positive outlook on life, but she is shy at times. She is also very kind and open-minded. She likes to help when she can, but allows no one to take advantage of her. She likes to be different and is very curious; always try to find out about things even when it’s none of her business. At times she can be tomboyish in nature and is a very fast learner.

Skills/Weapons: In the beginning she really doesn’t have any, because she has no need for them but as the story progresses she will start to develop and master which ever ones she gets.

Strengths/Weaknesses: Again, not clear or evident in the beginning but will be discovered later. However one might say that her curious nature is both her strength and weakness.

History: Her first real memory was being brought to the orphanage in South Haven when she was 4. However that memory, like most of her others, is fuzzy. For as much as she knows or to be more specific as much as she was told her parents died and she was brought to the orphanage anonymously. She lived there for about twelve year, and when she turned 16 she left.

Other:N/A
Name: Sand
Age: mid 20s
Gender: Male
Land: N/A

Overall Appearance: Tall with shaggy black hair and olive skin. His eyes are a dark brown, so much so that they are almost black. He's muscular and lean with a strong jaw and handsome face.

Personality: He's very empathetic and a natural leader. He is usually solemn,
honorable and knows when to speak and when not too. Because of this he has
connections to very odd but possibly helpful people. He is, however, very bitter, tired and full of self loathing due to an incident several years previous. He's incredibly apathetic now and prefers to be left alone and drown himself in alcohol.

Skills/Weapons: master of unarmed combat, and also is skilled with knives.

Strengths/Weaknesses: His weakness is his own bitterness and his alcoholism. Strenghs-his connections, empathy, and once his leadership.

History: Sand was (and would be if he wanted to continue) captain and trainer of small, elite fighting squads that fought against Eran during the Eran war. His men were the elite and were
known for their ferocity and skill of decimating larger forces with surprise
and speed. Sand was a legend in his training ability and his commanding
ability. However, when he was put in charge of a large group during a major
war, almost all of his troops were slaughtered, partly due to another
commanders ineptness, partly due to Sand's own pride and for that he will never
forgive himself. Afterward he separated himself from anything to do with the armies of Aquaria. He now wanders.

Name: Kuruvar

Age: 6,223 (appears to be in his early 20's)

Gender: Male

Land: Dark Aquaria

Overall Appearance: He stands at 6'5" tall. He has broad shoulders and a
muscular build. His hair is cut short, about halfway down his ears. It is a
white/blonde that contrasts strangely with his tan complection and his steel
grey eyes. His eyes change slightly with his mood. He is able to control the
change to some degree. He also has the ability to see in the pitch black. He
stands very tall and somewhat arrogantly. His demeanor is very challenging and
extremely intimidating. His handsome features are always very serious and
somewhat hateful. He wears the black and red armor of those high in rank. He
has a dragon tattooed on his back and a scar that runs diagonally across his
chest. Another runs through his left eyebrow and into his hairline.

Personality: Kuruvar is dark and cunning. He is amazingly untrusting,
knowing well than any of his companions would kill him without a second
thought. He is intense, harsh, hateful and seemingly merciless. He is a very
cynical, brutally honest person. He is seemingly fearless, in no way even
dreading the thought of death. Deep, deep down he is somewhat honorable,
however. He is constantly at war with himself. To be a man who is somewhat
decent or to be the cold blooded killer the others believe him to be. He is
extremely intelligent and very manipulative. He knows how to respond to people
to get the desired reaction. His temper often gets the better of him, and when
it does it is not wise to get in his way.

Skills/Weapons: He carries a 55" double edged sword. The hilt is two
handed, the grip wrapped in a thick black leather. Dragons are etched into the
steel in red, running down the blade and across the guard. He also carries 6
throwing daggers and a number of various blades, including a long pike. He is
an expert when it comes to fighting in any respect, whether in battle or man to
man. He can plan and lead battles like no other man alive.

Strengths/Weaknesses: Because he is so untrusting he often eliminates
possible allies. Also eliminating possible strengths. His strengths do not only
include his skills in combat, but also hunting and tracking. He can move
quickly and silently. He is very good at avoiding being seen.

History: He was abandoned by his father at a very young age. He never
knew his mother. Despite all this he grew up a very good, honorable person. He
began training with the guard simply for the fact he wished to protect people.
He later married. 5 years pass and she was killed, as was their 3 year old son.
The murders were never explained. Kuruvar became almost completely consumed
with hate and turned his back on everything, including the majority of his
honor. He began to wander, training more intensely and seeing his skills in
tracking also were perfected. It is there he met a soldier who worked under
Eran. He was quickly recruited and because of his skills, he moved up quickly
in rank.

Other: Kuruvar is second in command of all of Dark Aquaria and Falden's
right hand. He has been so for 5 years. Little does Falden know that Kuruvar
plans to kill Falden once the thrown has been claimed. Now he was sent to stop
those who seek Claudius' heir.

Name: Theia Elayan [THAY - ah Eh- LAY-ehn]

Age:
23

Gender:
Female

Land:
Lives in South Haven, but is a Freelance Warrior

Weapons:
Having been raised with a bow in her hands since childhood, Theia is a lethal archer with deadly aim. She has an extremely strong bow made of a rare white wood called, Helifel. In addition, Theia also makes all of her own arrows. The bow is decorated with intricate patterns of burgundy and violet thread. To most people, the creation would seem like a mere beautiful design. To Theia, however, it tells the story of her life.

Overall Appearance:
Theia has straight, reddish-brown hair that falls to her mid-back. Theia never leaves her hair down loosely. Instead, she has the majority of her hair in numerous small braids, tied at the end with thin, scarlet cords. She’s never thought of herself as beautiful, but she has an inner strength that makes her attractive to most people. Theia has honey-colored, brown eyes that often burn with an inner fire or determination.

Personality:
Theia is, most of the time, a very practical person. She never lets her emotions crowd her thoughts or let her passions overtake her. If a fight takes place, Theia is almost always the peacemaker, and although her patience isn’t unlimited, she tends to be very tolerant. Theia has been close companions with Baedon for several years and has traveled alongside him constantly in the past. Theia is usually the more steadying force in the duo.

Strengths/Weaknesses:
Besides being very nimble with weaponry, Theia also has a sharp mind. She thinks quickly on her feet and can sum up a situation and its meaning from early on. Theia is never content to remain in one place, however. She feels awkward and uneasy when she stays in one place for long, and so is constantly on the move.

History:
Theia was raised by her three older brothers after their parents died of a plague that had swept through Aquatania at the time. Her brothers all grew learning the arts of war and weaponry, and although it was her mother’s wish that she be raised in peace, Theia was taught the same skills. Theia and her brothers lived deep in the woods and had no contact with the outside world except on rare occasions. Her elder brothers wanted to keep Theia home with them where she would be safe, but on her sixteenth birthday, Theia ran away from the home she grew up in to discover the world for herself. Although she has thought of it several times, Theia has never returned to her home in the woods, nor has she neared the same land she was born in.
Name: Airisyl Mattimee (air-ih-sill mat-im-ay)

Age: 21

Gender: Female

Land: Dark Aquaria

Skill/Weapons: she doesn't use weapons very often because she's a master of martial arts and mostly relys on that, but she can use a sword and she keeps daggers at hand always. Airisyl generally prefers to avoiding fighting, but if she has a reason to fight then she will.

Overall Appearance: Airisyl has smooth, silky dark hair that falls to her mid-back. She usually pulls it back into a ponytail, though, because she hates it falling in her eyes. She has creamy white skin and is very, very pretty, though she does not have a significant other. She's about five foot six and has dark blue eyes. At first glance she seems like a misfit, although a rich misfit. She's very quiet and observative. She's mysterious and enchanting.

Personality: Airisyl is very quiet and likes to think a lot. She's been betrayed so many times, that it takes a lot for her to trust anyone. She's very impatient and hates it when people can't understand what she's trying to explain or when they don't believe her. When she's pushed too far, she can get very mean, though.

Strengths/Weaknesses: Airisyl was born with the power to see the future, though she can't see it whenever she wants to. It comes to her when she least expects it and sometimes she hates it. She's able to think very logically and strategically in her mind and she goes over all the consequences before she does anything, but sometimes that holds her back. Her biggest weakness, though, is probably her lack of trust it other people. She's also very stubborn, rebellious, and decietful.

History: Airisyl was raised by her parents. She had two older sisters, three younger sister, and one younger brother. Airisyl was the rebel in the family and was always getting into trouble. One day, for a reason unknown to all the children, their parents were murdered by servants of the Dark Lord Eran. After that, Airisyl left home and she hasn't looked back once. She just goes wherever she feels like and she hopes it all ends up for the better.

~*~*NOTE*~*~
I apologize for this, but because of school I might not be able to add so often, so please be patient with me. I'll try my hardest to add within five days and if I don't you can skip me. I hope that you understand. But even if I don't add so much, please include my character in the story. I'll try my hardest to always add when it's my turn.
Heavy footsteps echoed through the hallway as a dark figure made its way to door on the other end. As the door opened the figure was greeted at once.

“Lord Falden,” a man at the far end of the room called as he bowed respectfully.

“Why have you summoned me here, Captain” Falden asked as he approached the man.

“It appears sir…” the man replied, “…that things are turning in our favor. I just thought you should know this before you mount your campaign.”

“How so?” Falden asked, more interested in the subject matter now.

“Well if you look here,” the man answered, pointing to the map that lay on the table. “It seems the fight the Erins have mounted here, here and here have proven victorious. Those victories have almost given us complete control of South Haven. The battles in Médian are proving very costly for the enemy, very soon we will control there, too.”

“What of North Haven?” Falden asked, seemingly not impressed by what he had heard so far.

“Well sir,” the man replied, clearing his throat slightly before giving the answer, “Our forces have not been as successful in that regard… that is to say… we haven’t won any battles there…as yet. However given time, it won’t be to long until you are on the throne.”

“We have no time, if we do not start making our presence felt all will be lost.” Falden replied, his voice a bit angry, as he headed for the door, “Summon Kuruvar to my quarters at once.”

“Lord Falden, sir, I don’t understand. Why don’t we have time?”

But Falden did not answer. He left the room without another word, in silent contemplation of things to come.

It had been a little over a year since K’ean had left the orphanage. Somehow she found she enjoyed the new freedom she now had, keeping herself busy by moving for town to town in the district of Kaladon. Kaladon, one of the larger portions of South Haven, was predominantly Erin. K’ean found that she herself was indifferent about the matter. Who cares if Falden claim’s the Aquarian throne or not, she would think every time she would overhear an Erin speaking of the war and the wars to come.

K’ean found herself in a new town at a new tavern. It was called Kelis and quite popular amongst the men and women, predominantly men, in the village. The patrons of the saloon looked like aged men of war and politics waning by the affects of alcohol and the civil issues erupting all over the lands. K’ean rolled her eyes at this and walked distastefully but reluctantly across the room over to the wooden varnished bar.
A tall burly man in an apron looked at her courteously as she approached the bar.

“Morning ma’am.” He said to her, setting down a glass cup he was cleaning on a shelf behind him. “What can I do for you today?”

“Umm…” K’ean smiled at the man. She paused then looked around at the different glasses and beverage serviced in the Kelis. “Ummm…I’ll have warm milk in a tall glass please.”

He chuckled. The bartender, called Marcus by his workers, thought the idea of milk amusing. “Coming up ma’am.”

Marcus put the tall glass of milk before her on an enamel coaster. “What, no tab?” She asked.

“People don’t order milk, so it’s on the house ma’am.”

“Alright, thank you.”

K’ean sat alone at the bar sipping her milk with a nonchalant, non caring look on her face. The politics around her gave her great distaste. She just looked up and stared out the small glass window across from her.

Character: Forest

I glared at the clouds that made shadows darken my book. After waiting a while, the sun brought light, but before I could resume reading, someone came into the garden. I’d told people not to come when I was reading, but after hearing what Asea said, I quickly went inside.

“Asea, could you find Theia Elayan and Baedon?”

She nodded and rushed to the stables. Sitting down, I scrutinized a map and measured how far South Haven was. It wouldn’t take a long time to get there, perhaps only a few days.

The sun was setting behind the tall, gnarled rock that surrounded the city of Duredhel. It was a city that almost constantly remained in a cold haunting darkness. It was a prison that no man could escape, no matter how far they ran. Every breath felt like suffocation; a plague that filled the lungs. Every sight was an evil, that burned into the subconscious until death. Eran had overseen the building of this "great" city, years before. Every building was carved from the black stone that consumed the area, including the palace that now belong to Falden. It was grand in his eyes, and horrifying in the eyes of most others. It stood tall and threatening, an enormous structure made of the same black stone and a rare ash colored marble. Nearly every wall on the interior was covered with various images of past battles and other similarly violent scenes. All were carved expertly and outlined in a pure silver. Corridors ran in a labyrinth under the palace, leading to secret rooms and dungeons that were only accessed by the few that were in Falden's favor or his close counsel.

Kuruvar rode through the gates as the torches that lined the narrow streets were lit. The rain finally ceased and the commander push his hood away from his face. He tap his horses sides, directing it at a gallop toward the stables. News of his return would have quickly gone to Falden's ears and he would be summoned. Rumors of an Heir had reached his ears, and though rumors meant little to Falden, Kuruvar would make sure that they were considered. They could not risk dismissing such news and being proven wrong. Kuruvar left the animal and moved quickly up the steps that lead into the main corridor. As he had assumed a guard was waiting.
"Falden requests to see you in his quarters." The guard spoke quietly, his eyes averted from the Commander.
"I will be with him shortly." Kuruvar replied, pushing past the guard and moving toward the door of his study.

The large steel door swung on it's hinges, and was pushed shut with a loud clang. Kuruvar removed his cloak and gloves, throwing them over a chair that sat beside the fireplace.
He lit the various candles that were set about the enormous room and started toward the stair case that lead to his chambers. The familiar voice of the guard came through the door and stopped the commander were he stood.
"You may enter." He ran his hand through his hair, pushing the wet strands away from his eyes.

"Milord Kuruvar." The guard began, opening the door lightly. Kuruvar still face away from him, his steel grey eyes focusing on the stairs at his feet.
"Yes?"
"Falden wishes me to inform you that this meeting is urgent."
"I will be with his shortly." Kuruvar said with a deep impatient breath.
The guard bow low and left. Kuruvar moved quickly, mumbling curses under his breath as he climb the stairs. He quickly wash his face and hands, and preceded to Falden's quarters, his clothes still wet and covered with mud from the knees down.

"You called for me, milord?" He asked, his deep voice unexpectedly harsh as he stare at the back of Falden's chair.
"Yes, I called for you." Falden replied, his thin fingers drumming against the arms of the large chair. "I was told this business is urgent. Am I mistaken?"
"You need to be elsewhere, Kuruvar?" Falden questioned, his voice suddenly angry.
"No Milord." Kuruvar sat in a small chair at the back of the room, resting his elbows on his knees as he lean his chin against his folded hands.
"They are being defeated, Kuruvar. Why is that? Why are they not properly trained?"
"Because your captain trains them, Milord. And where in North Haven do we suffer losses?"
"You have been told it is North Haven?"
"No, I assumed. North Haven is a strong territory that will not easily be won."
"Is South Haven not a strong territory as well? Some of the greatest warriors in the world come from South Haven and still it has been conquered."
"North Haven is not divided. South Haven consists of strong warriors, yes, but they are wanderers as apposed to soldiers. It makes little difference how well they fight, for the greatest warriors in the entirety of Aquaria can be defeated when they stand alone against an army."
"Fine, fine," He waved his hand impatiently, a motion often leading Kuruvar to move on, "What of Forest's plans to you foresee?"
"Forest will send out a small group."
"She has never attempted this before."
"No, Milord, she has not. But from the late king we have seen this trick many times."
"Very well, though I do not see the good of sending a few soldiers against my armies."
"There is rumor of an heir, Milord. I suspect they are being gathered to attempt to locate him. Rumor spreads quickly through the taverns in South Haven and though gossip between drunks is rarely true, this I have seen." Kuruvar replied.
"A vision? What exactly did you see?"
The immortal hesitated. "It was a dream, Milord, and must be taken as such."
"What did you see?" Falden hissed, spinning to look upon the immortal's face.
"A man, dark haired and strong in appearance, dressed in the armor of New Haven. His nose and mouth were covered with a black fabric, but his eyes stood out strangely. He stood with a bloodied sword in his grip. It was the sword that caught my attention. For this particular weapon, Milord, belongs to you." Kuruvar replied.

Falden crack his knuckles, crying out in anger and he threw papers across the room.
"See that this man is found, Kuruvar. Find the warriors and follow them. Find this man, this heir, and kill him. If you do this a third of Aquaria will be yours when I have conquered."
Kuruvar bow. "I will leave at dawn, Milord." he replied. As he turn to leave, his leaders voice stopped him, "Perhaps, Kuruvar, this could be the man responsible for the death of your wife." He said. Kuruvar froze, balling his hands into fists.
"If that were the case, Milord, you would have his head by morning." Kuruvar replied. Falden laughed. "I should hope it is then, shouldn't I?"
The commander did not reply. How dare he bring her into this? Kuruvar left in silence, the image of Safiya and their son running through his mind. It had been 15 years to the day since she was killed and Kylaven was taken. He was 3 at the time. Kuruvar had devoted nearly 7 years to the pursuit of his son, holding on to every prayer that the boy could still be alive. His hope faded and his anger grew, decaying him to the point he was at this moment. He could not help but grieve at the thought of his son seeing him in this state. His honor gone, his values abandoned for the hope of power.

Kuruvar wash the days of grime away and changed. He slunk down onto the large bed, his eyes never leaving the black armor that stood menacingly next to him. On every surface of his chambers weapons were placed, taken from those enemies he had slain on the battle fields. His own weapons sat beside him, never out of his reach. He lay down, stretching his legs out before his and folding his hands behind his head. He would not sleep, which was not rare. Instead he stare off, letting his thoughts dwell around those who he missed more than any other. Dawn quickly came and Kuruvar set out, dressed as a wanderer in hopes of stumbling upon the team that had yet to be assembled.
