A poem of longing when you see someone you let go, long ago, appear in your dreams
A thousand dreams I've dreamed of you
Have not yet been in vain
for tonight I dream a dream anew,
Upon this bed where you once lay

Where in this place my night is yet day
Where peace is found and dispair is nay,
I dream that i am far away
from all my worries and all my care

And once more, I dream you are here with me
I dream that we walk upon the shore of the sea
I dream that you are here to stay
And that you speak those words i wish you'd say
I am yours and you are mine
forever are our hearts entwined
I wish never to wake, so I won't find
I'm dreaming once more

We lay in heaven's field, I dream
and everything is as it seems;
That I love you and you love me
As I dream of a better memory
and a past renewed, that I can see
what love you had for me, and what love I had for you
I wish it were so I wish it were true

Your arms are all about me
I wish you'd never leave
I try so hard to tell you
My heart's evrythinh
But I find my lips won't utter my heart's desire to tell
Every thought I've thought of you, I'm under a dream spell
I wake and I can't find you
you are no longer by my side
I thought it was real, I thought I knew
My dreams have told me another lie

How cruel art thous, my dreams!
you taketh him away, away from me!

I cry out to you;
My love
I long to see thy face
But I can't find thee
In a sea of faces
and I long for your tender touch
If you came back, I would tell you
That I loved you well, I loved you much
Our love could be restored,
and we could be so much more
than just in my dreams

So, this night I pray a new prayer, one I've never spoken
That I will not wake, so my heart will not be broken
I pray for something admirable, somthing to be true
I pray that all my dreams, are all about you.
