Out of nowhere you arrive
Dripping lies,
Anger
Like a leaky faucet
Too lazy to fix.

Your words fall
Dripping
Splashing
Into the pool of tears
That collects beneath
The broken space
Inside me.

It boils with my emotion
Hotter
Hotter
Finally exploding into the liquid fire
That burns unbearably deep into
My core.

I cry
Ice tears
Hard and painful
That chip and break
From the iceberg
Within.

All of the warmth is drained—
Sucked into the fire
Down
Down
Growing in the inner depths
Of my once pure
Fortress.

Hot
Meets cold,
United.

The force is overpowering,
Shattering into a thousand pieces

And I fall.
