One of my deepest pieces yet, One of my most self-expressive.
All the people move too fast to be found
Blurs and ambience, but never profound
Go home girl, you’re too pretty
Don’t fall for the thrills of this city

She seeks what she can never find
The ticking clocks have lost their time
Framing dreams and memories
Of lives with capabilities

These were hands that held the world
Shaped its mountains, calmed its cold
Within the moonlight’s desperate stretch
Signs of you have somehow left

Stumbling upon the forbidden hour
You’ve built your walls and locked your tower
What refuge has no light involved?
Sacred is that which darkness falls?

Arms outstretched and calling out
Cured the man with so much doubt
Grasp the words you often speak
Dream the dreams you live to breathe

Kiss the silence of the room
Embrace the elegance of its tune
In the shimmering silver light
A dove’s echoing flutter of wings takes flight
