A peom that a good friend of mine wrote.
I smell your perfume in the air,
I feel your silky strands of hair,
I hear you breathing, rhythm deep,
As you lay there fast asleep.
Your skin against me feels so warm,
While outside there rages storm
You stirr and smile in your sleep,
Your dream a promise you can't keep,
You grasp my hand instinetively,
You are a perfect fit for me.
You dream and moan, and pull me near.
Protecting you from nameless fear.
I wisper softly in your ear,
And fancy in your dream can hear,
For a smile alights your face,
Much more delicate than lace.
This sight calms my very soul,
Extinguishing it's red-hot coal,
I close my eyes and rub your hand.
Slipping into my pellucid land.
