Two students stumble on a mission by aliens in a sinister plot to enslave earth. |
It was Saturday evening September 11, 2092. Jack Edward and Angela Broussard, second year parapsychology students at Langley University were walking down the sidewalk just outside the campus. They had attended a lecture on the history of parapsychology. Films and reports of early ESP experiments from Duke University presented evidence that the use of Parapsychology was a course of study in leading universities for over two hundred years. Jack and Angela honor students in their respective High Schools had little knowledge of parapsychology and only the normal curiosity in ESP. They were each approached by Langley University's Dean of Admissions and offered a four-year full scholarship. They both quickly accepted the offer. The university, only Ten years old, was already recognized as one of the highest rated academic schools in the nation. The graduates were highly recruited by both industry and government. Angela and Jack were startled by a strong mental thought that seemed to be from the driver of a black sedan passing them on the street, "Ignite the bomb when the white limousine reaches the gate. Drive slower to arrive at the same time." Jack said verbally, "Did you hear that?" Angela verbally replied instantly, "Yes, I will try to stop or delay him. You warn the guards at the gate." Angela concentrated on the driver and sent a narrow telepathic beam, "Do not set off the bomb. Stop the car." Jack sent a strong telepathic beam toward the gate, "DANGER, THE BLACK SEDAN HAS A BOMB. STOP THE LIMOUSINE." The driver of the sedan looked around and gazing directly at Angela, thought, "How did she identify me?" Then, "I have been identified, do you have new instructions?" The sedan accelerated at full speed toward the gate. The guard jumped in front of the sedan and opened fire with an automatic rifle. The sedan crashed into the gate house and exploded into an enormous fireball engulfing the gatehouse and the three cars waiting to pass. The white limousine stopped a block away. The driver watched the explosion and said, "It has started and they have refused our offer of peaceful negotiation." Two blocks away Jack and Angela stared in horror at the carnage. Angela asked telepathically, "Isn't this the Central Intelligence Agency headquarters?" Jack replied, "Yes, let's leave before the police arrive. We don't want to become involved in an investigation" They walked at a fast pace for about a block and boarded the first bus they saw. It was traveling in the wrong direction. After half an hour they left the bus and boarded one going in the opposite direction. They left the bus at the University and walked almost in a daze to their dormitories. The Sunday morning Times had a picture of the wreckage at the gate and a small article. Bombing at the Central Intelligence Agency Government Agencies are investigating the apparent suicide bombing at the CIA Head- quarters Saturday night when a black sedan approached at high speed ignoring the order to stop. Sgt. George Collins, the guard, opened fire. The sedan exploded, killing Sgt. Collins and four other persons. Sgt. Collins' quick actions stopped a limousine carrying visiting Government Officials from the Democratic State of China saving their lives. |
