Take another step
Limitations no where near
Lost in my own utopia
Created my own dreams
Followed them devotedly
Pushed aside repeatedly
Knocked down face first
No one listened
No high hopes for them
Low expectations of me
Higher for myself
On my own
Got up on my own
Did this on my own
Don't need help from you
or anyone else
You pushed me down already
That's all the help I need from you
You gave me the endurance
You gave me the strength
to push myself back up
to get me where my dreams are kept.
