Poem dedicated to the death of a friend of mine
Another day, another face in the crowd.
Everyone knows you’re there, they know you’re great, but you’re nothing special..

One night, another face in the crowd.
Everyone knows you’re there, but you’re just another one of them
Just another face having fun…

One decision, just another ride in a car.
Everyone knows you’re there, just on your way home, safe in a car.

Another day, one face less of a crowd.
And this time, everyone knows you’re not there anymore…
This time, they know you’re more than great
This time, they know you’re special.
But they also know you’re not there anymore.

No longer just another face in the crowd.
